Daily Chart Setup before February 22

With this setup in mind, I started preparing to layer into a swing-short position at intraday levels.

Intraday Execution

In equities, I typically use 5-minute charts with price patterns, volume, 8/21 EMAs, 6/20 MACD, and VWAP for intraday entries/exits. However, I’ve noticed that in crypto, 15-minute charts tend to provide more reliable entry signals for swing trades—especially when they align with higher time-frame setups.

Here is the chart with my entries since February 22, along with brief comments on the logic behind them: https://www.tradingview.com/x/joneCgBy/

Profit-taking plan

My profit-trimming plan was based on a key daily macro-support zone that I consider structurally important for price action.

Corrections often unfold in three-wave moves, where the first and third (final) waves tend to be of similar length, measured from the peak of the second counter-wave. Sometimes, the third wave extends further, reaching 1.236–1.382x the length of the first wave.

Once the price was approaching this levels, I started trimming.

As for the time of this post. the downtrend momentum is holding below the 21EMA on the 1H chart. If this resistance starts to break, I plan to fully cover my position. Otherwise, I’ll look to cover near the bottom of the support zone.
